What I did today at my internship was file papers for my mentor, and as well help her organized recipes from payments students have made. The papers that I am organizing are files from the students that have to be placed in there folders. When I was done helping my mentor I went to go help another person from the facility organize the documents from the student and place them in there folder. What I did also was talk to my mentor about the project that I am planning for WLE, while I was talkng to her she gave me a lot of ideas to integrate in my project.

I am on track on compleating my 75 hours on time I estimating that i have about 35 hours completed. But in case of anything I am planning to go an extra day to make up any hours I am missing. My essential question is, What can we do to expand Marinello School of Beauty programing. And the plan that me and raquel are planning to do is do a charity fund to Locks of Love (a program of donations for kids without hair). And to come up with the donation we are planning to do a raffel. Things that we have completed for this project was to contact Locks of love and tell them about are project.

Two of the leadership skills that I use at my internship are Thinking Critically and Collaborateing Productively. The reasons why I use these Leadership skill at Marinello is because I file a lot of paper and I have to make sure iam puting the right files in it right order and file them according to the level grade of the student from the school. I Callaborate productively with another intern there, we both come up with ideas to make the files more organized and easier. One skill that I am developing through my internship is to communicate powerfully. I am developing this skill by learning how talk and ask questions more proffesional.
 
Teachers from Impact Academy have thought me well Leadership skills to take on to my internship. It helpful in my internship to use this leadership skills beacuse it way diffrent from school, I have to have responsibility for the job I am doing, be respectful and know what my job is. My role in Marinello is way diffrent from school I feel like I have a great responsibility into what I am doing I have to make sure everything is in its correct order and as well come up with my own ideas to help my mentors finish there filing. I feel like I am learning alot through this project about work and responsibility.

Overall everybody benefits from this beauty school students as well as the people that teach their because student go their to learn a profession in cosmetology. A strength that this facility has is that they all communicate and help one another their organized they have section for students depending on their grades. Everyone that works their and go to school their have positive energy. When I am there a fill welcome it a good environment to be at. This facility has no weaknesses it seems like everything is in order.

When I went to my internship and got their right away I got to work. I helped Ms.Hills one of the workers to put away materials in the back room the materials were like gel face creams and much more. When I was putting everything in the back room I was amazed their was so much things to do with beauty. When I was done I went to a storage room where they have more materials but for the school like paper toilet and napkins and soap and much more. When I got to the storage room it was so messy there was not enough space there was a lot of boxes. So what me and Raquel did was organizes everything in rows move and throw away boxes, and we ended up cleaning everything and when we were done it was spotless!

First Day At WLE 11/08/2010
 
The first day of my WLE was amazing I Liked it alot. I got there at 10:30 am, at first I had nothing to do beacuse they were busy with costumers first so they had to deal with them. My mentor was not there but Crystal another staff that works in Marinello School of Beauty. When we saterted doing work I was upstairs with Crystal failing peper. The papers that I was failing was papers of the students their documents and personal information, so i took it very seriously. After I finished failing all the paper works I went on my lunch break it was a good experiance beacuse it was my first timer going on alunch break. Then when my lunch break was over I went back and really had nothing to do beacuse we was finished with everything, but I talked to Crystal to tell her to leave us work suring her weak so we can do some on friday and keep busy. I got out at 4:30pm but my first day was nice and i had a good experiance.
